Holt
Great for shopping, coffee, lunch, supper or tasty treats at Byfords Delicatessen & Café. Shop in Larner’s foodhall, the Harrods of Norfolk. Excellent shops for locally caught fish, lobster, crab etc. The Feathers Hotel, Holt is highly recommended.
Morston Quay
Take a boat trip to see the seals and birds off Blakeney Point or charter a luxurious sailing barge. In good weather make a day of it and catch a later boat back, stop off at the old Lifeboat House (NT) for coffee, walk over the dunes to the sea. Heavenly. Morston Hall has a high reputation for its restaurant (but book well in advance).
Cley
Great deli, pottery, smokehouse. Visit Cookies Crabshop for delicious seafood platters at the Green.
Wells
Catch the mini train to the beach. Great for very long walks along the dunes or through the pine forest behind. Excellent fish and chips available on the harbour wall.
Holkham
Holkham Gap beach is a favourite place visit with miles of sand and Norfolk skies.
It has been made famous by its numerous appearances on film and television including 'The Eagle Has Landed', 'Shakespeare in Love', 'The Avengers' and the music video for Pure Shores, by All Saints (for the 2000 movie 'The Beach').

Blakeney
A picturesque sailing harbour. Enjoy crab sandwiches or oysters from the caravan on the quay and a walk out on the causeway.
Burnham Overy Staithe
Take the papers and a picnic and walk out to the sea over the marshes – it’s a long walk but when you get there so worth it - only sea and sky.

The Broads
Hire an electric boat on The Broads (Potter Heigham out to Horsey Mere & Horsey Wind pump NT).
The North Norfolk Railway
The North Norfolk Railway offers a 10.5 mile round trip by steam train (vintage diesel trains on some journeys) through a delightful area of North Norfolk designated as being of outstanding natural beauty.
To the south are wooded hills and the Norfolk beauty spots of Kelling Heath and Sheringham Park. To the north, the sea. All within easy walking distance from the various stations.

Pensthorpe Nature Reserve & Gardens
